The Beach House Harare is a vibrant, coastal-inspired restaurant and bar located in the middle of the Borrowdale Racecourse. It successfully brings a laid-back, “beach feeling” right to the heart of the city, complete with sand-covered floors, tropical cocktails, and regular live music events.

What to Expect & Practical Tips

The Vibe: I would highly recommend timing your visit for sunset. The restaurant features a great mix of indoor and sprawling outdoor deck seating overlooking water, creating a surprisingly tranquil getaway from the surrounding city rush. Heaters are provided during colder months to keep the outdoor space cozy.
On the Menu: They serve a varied mixed cuisine. Locals highly praise their fresh sushi selection, seafood platters, and the signature Umami Chicken Noodles from their wok bar. They also offer wood-fired pizzas, steaks, and explicit vegetarian and vegan-friendly options like poke bowls. 
When to Go: It is open daily from 12:00 PM until late. Weekdays are generally much more relaxed. If you plan to head there on a weekend for dinner or a live music session, booking a table in advance on the Beach House Website is highly recommended as it gets incredibly busy. 
Good to Know: The venue is family-friendly and includes a dedicated kids’ play area. Ample free parking is available on-site via the Stables Market gate off Borrowdale Road, though note that the parking area lacks shade
